Chief Jerry Buehne

On the morning of Thursday, March 10, 2005, Chief Buehne was driving to work, traveling west on Gravois Road near the intersection of Rosemary Avenue, when his vehicle was struck by a car being driven by a man fleeing police.
On Monday, March 14, 2005, family, friends, and hundreds of fellow firefighters honored Chief Buehne in a service at Faith Lutheran Church on Oakville. The church was filled to capacity as the chief was remembered.
The procession of fire apparatus, which included trucks from all over east central Missouri, was more than a mile long.
Chief Buehne will be missed.
